Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste about 1/4 teaspoon each
Optional Additions
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Fresh cilantro leaves
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Lime wedges
Sauce
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Equipment

  • Oven
  • mixing bowl
  • Greased Rack or Baking Pan
  • Tin Foil
  • Small Sauce Pan
  • Whisk
  • Brush

Method
 

  1. Wash hands with warm water and soap for 20 seconds.
  2. Combine egg, bread crumbs, chopped onion, curry powder, ground ginger, cinnamon, salt, and pepper
  3. Add turkey; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  4. Place meatballs on a greased rack in baking pan, or line with tinfoil.
  5. Bake until cooked through and juices run clear, about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan; whisk over medium heat until heated through.
  7. Brush meatballs with 1/4 cup sauce; return to oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve meatballs with remaining sauce for dipping and, if desired, fresh herbs and lime wedges.
