Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium apples peeled and cut into quarters (like Braeburn, Gala, Delicious, Jonathon, or Rome)
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Wash hands with soap and warm water. Wash apples before preparing.
  • Heat apples and juice to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and simmer uncovered five to ten minutes, stirring occasionally to break up apples.
  • Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Continue simmering and stir while cooking for one minute.
  • Serve warm or refrigerate and serve chilled.
