Roasted Honey Sage Squash & Apple

Ingredients
  

  • 1 each acorn squash cut into quarters
  • 2 each apples halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp sage chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Cutting Board
  • mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F
  2. Cut acorn squash into 4 pieces (quarters)
  3. Cut apples into halves and remove seeds (keep skin)
  4. Place in a baking dish or sheet pan
  5. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, honey, sage, salt, and pepper
  6. Brush or spoon over squash and apples
  7. Bake for 45 min to 1 hr, until squash is soft and knife can pierce through easily
